LANDFILL AND THE LURE OF THE NEW
Over the last fifteen years, clothing production has nearly doubled. According to WRAP ‘the value of unused clothing in wardrobes has been estimated at around £30 billion. It is also estimated that £140 million worth of clothing goes into landfill each year.’ Put another way, every three out of five garments purchased will end up in landfill within a year.
